Eligibility for shipping and customs clearance depends on CBSA and Transport Canada regulations. Please confirm your applicable category.
Canadian Citizens /
Permanent Residents

Eligible if you have established residence abroad for at least 1 year (6 months with family).

Applies when re-importing a vehicle that was previously purchased in Canada and exported to Korea.
Visa Holders (Study / Work Permit)

Tourist (Visitor Visa) Import
Vehicle import under a tourist visa follows different rules depending on stay duration and clearance method. Separate consultation is required.
Vehicle Ownership Requirement
The vehicle must be registered under the visa holder’s name. For joint ownership, it must be transferred to a single owner or all owners must be present at customs.
Companies / Corporate Imports: Import/export consultation is available only for vehicles that meet Transport Canada requirements.

Modified Vehicles
Non-acceptance of modified or customized vehicles.
Window Tinting
Removal of window tinting (front windshield, driver's side, and front passenger windows) to comply with local regulations.

Temporary Import Notice
Vehicles cleared under a temporary status may be classified as temporary imports.

Must be re-exported to Korea when your stay ends (including after obtaining permanent residency)

The vehicle cannot be sold or scrapped in Canada.
