What types of vehicles are eligible for shipping?

We can ship most vehicles that fit into standard containers, with the exception of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Hybrid vehicles due to safety regulations.

Are tuned or modified vehicles accepted?

We do not recommend shipping modified or tuned vehicles as they may cause issues during the mandatory registration inspections.

Eligibility for shipping and customs clearance depends on CBSA and Transport Canada regulations. Please confirm your applicable category.

Canadian Citizens /
Permanent Residents

Eligible if you have established residence abroad for at least 1 year (6 months with family).
Applies when re-importing a vehicle that was previously purchased in Canada and exported to Korea.

Visa Holders (Study / Work Permit)

Eligible if you have established residence abroad for at least 1 year (6 months with family).

Tourist (Visitor Visa) Import

Vehicle import under a tourist visa follows different rules depending on stay duration and clearance method. Separate consultation is required.

Vehicle Ownership Requirement

The vehicle must be registered under the visa holder’s name. For joint ownership, it must be transferred to a single owner or all owners must be present at customs.

Companies / Corporate Imports: Import/export consultation is available only for vehicles that meet Transport Canada requirements.

Non-acceptance of modified or customized vehicles.

Window Tinting

Removal of window tinting (front windshield, driver's side, and front passenger windows) to comply with local regulations.

Temporary Import Notice

Vehicles cleared under a temporary status may be classified as temporary imports.

Must be re-exported to Korea when your stay ends (including after obtaining permanent residency)
The vehicle cannot be sold or scrapped in Canada.

Vehicle transport to Canada

Requirements vary by case. Visa Holders (Study/Work Permit, etc.): If you have a Canadian visa authorized for a stay of 1 year or more as of the customs clearance date, you may import and use the vehicle under temporary customs clearance. Canadian Citizens/Permanent Residents: Shipping and clearance are only possible if you are returning to Canada after residing in Korea for at least 1 year, and the vehicle was originally purchased in Canada and exported to Korea. (Vehicles purchased in Korea cannot be imported). Note: Even vehicles originally sold in Canada must pass a vehicle registration inspection to be registered.
