3PL Fulfillment FAQ
Warehousing, pick & pack, inventory, and order fulfillment.
What exactly is 3PL Fulfillment?
3PL (Third-Party Logistics) Fulfillment is a service where a professional logistics company handles inventory storage, order processing (picking/packing), shipping, and returns management on your behalf. COSHIP provides integrated support, from international transportation to local fulfillment within Canada.
What makes COSHIP 3PL different from standard 3PL providers?
COSHIP directly operates its own CBSA-certified bonded warehouse. While standard 3PLs often require goods to be moved to a separate facility after customs clearance, COSHIP handles both clearance and storage in-house. This allows for immediate outbound readiness and eliminates unnecessary transit time, delays, and additional costs.
Is there a minimum volume requirement?
Volume requirements can vary based on product type and operational methods. Please share your estimated monthly order volume and inbound quantities, and we will provide a feasibility assessment and a customized quote.
What is required to get started?
Simply share your sales channels, product information (dimensions/weight), and estimated monthly volume. We offer rapid onboarding via account sharing, requiring no complex technical development.
How do I request a quote?
Please share your sales channels, product details, and estimated monthly volume through the Request a Quote form on our website. A dedicated representative will review your information and contact you shortly.
Can I sell in Canada even if I don't have a Canadian business entity?
Yes, it is possible. Through the NRI (Non-Resident Importer) program, overseas businesses can act as the official importer of record in Canada. We provide guidance on CARM registration and all necessary procedures when needed.
How do you maintain shipping accuracy?
COSHIP manages outbound accuracy through a rigorous process involving manager reviews, dual UPC scanning, and Serial Number (S/N) tracking when required.
Which carriers do you use for shipping?
We operate a robust delivery network in partnership with major local carriers, including Canada Post and UPS. We assign the most suitable carrier based on the cargo's size, weight, and delivery region.
How are returns handled?
Returns can be processed in various ways based on your requirements, including restocking, disposal after inspection, or return-to-sender. Procedures are tailored to your specific product characteristics and operational preferences.
Is integration with e-commerce platforms available?
Yes, we support order integration with major platforms such as Shopify and Amazon. Completed orders are automatically synced to our logistics system for dispatch without the need for manual email coordination.
Do you handle B2B bulk deliveries in addition to B2C shipping?
Yes. In addition to individual consumer deliveries, we support B2B logistics, including offline retail distribution, bulk order processing, and shipments to Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FBA).
Do you offer custom branded packaging or gift inserts?
With prior arrangement, we can use your brand-specific boxes and packaging materials. We also support the inclusion of promotional items or gift inserts for specific marketing campaigns.
